“This is how one of the new students began her conversation with me during a chance encounter… then she continued:”

*“May Allah reward Halimah, the one who introduced me to Darajat. Since then, my life has changed—my priorities shifted. Things I used to spend hours on, like shopping as a hobby, became less important. I became aware of a deep void inside me. I didn’t know what I was lacking, but I felt the symptoms: restlessness despite having most of what I needed, irritability over trivial matters, a general dissatisfaction… My soul was uneasy, anxious, and far from peace. *“May Allah reward Halimah, the one who introduced me to Darajat. I only wish you had introduced me to Darajat years ago…”*  I said to myself: Truly… when the Almighty created the human being and placed them on this earth, He—in His wisdom—prepared for them all that would nourish and sustain their physical form: food, drink, clothing, and shelter.But because the human being also has a soul dwelling in this body—because the soul is the true essence of a person—when it departs, we rush to bury the body in honor of its emptiness. And because no one knows the soul except its Creator, He said:
” ﴿ وَيَسْأَلُونَكَ عَنِ الرُّوحِ ۖ قُلِ الرُّوحُ مِنْ أَمْرِ رَبِّي وَمَا أُوتِيتُم مِّنَ الْعِلْمِ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا﴾ [ سورة الإسراء: 85]

Our Creator honored us with all that brings well-being to this soul—and thus to the body, the individual, and the entire community. He honored us with His Divine Law, with the Qur’an—His Wise Book—revealed as a complete guide for human life:
﴿وَنُنَزِّلُ مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ مَا هُوَ شِفَاءٌ وَرَحْمَةٌ لِّلْمُؤْمِنِينَ ۙ وَلَا يَزِيدُ الظَّالِمِينَ إِلَّا خَسَارًا [ سورة الإسراء: 82]
